Advanced Defect Prediction Tool (ADPT)

ADSTEFAN’s defect prediction tool (ADPT, Advanced Defect Prediction Tool) uses actual casting defect information and analysis results as “teaching data” and builds a defect prediction database using machine learning then outputs the probability of the defects considering the actual shop floor environment.
The prediction model is directly linked to the actual defect information therefore it allows to reduce troublesome “fitting” effort, and expects a more accurate simulation for a new design and products.

Particle Method Analysis

The calculation module “Particle Method Analysis” is newly added. Particle method is one method of discretization in order to numerically solve the equation regarding a continuum then simulating the target objects as a collection of particles.
Some simple flow and solidification analysis are available to all users as an ADSTEFAN ver.2021 limited version.
By considering the temperature dependence of the casting material density, as an example, the thermal contraction and solidification shrinkage of the molten metal in filling process can be taken into consideration therefore analysing the creating process of the shrinkage porosity during the filling is simultaneously and directly possible together with analysing the filling behavior.

GPU Mode for Solidification Analysis

GPU Mode delivers the high parallel computation ability by accelerating the calculation using the GPU board.
Having this module, GPU board is used not only for outputting graphics reports to a monitor but for calculating the casting analysis with the powerful parallel processing function which makes the calculations dramatically faster than those performed by the CPU. Significant improvement of calculation speed even using a relatively reasonable and entry-class GPU card Quadro P2000 is a possibility for a higher cost performance.

Upgrade to ADSTEFAN Ver.2021

Customers under ADSTEFAN annual maintenance support are eligible to use ADSTEFAN version 2021. In order to start using the latest version of ADSTEFAN, the license file in the protect key (HASP) need to be updated.

Upgrade Steps:

1. Send us the latest C2V file of the protect key (HASP).  It would be helpful if customer use the protect key ID number as the file name.

2. The latest patch file will be generated based on the sent C2V file. Please save the patch file anywhere in PC which run ADSTEFAN. 
3. Run the patch file by double clicking it while the protect key (HASP) inserted to PC. The file inside the protect key (HASP) will be overwritten then ADSTEFAN Ver.2021 license will come to be available.
4. ADSTEFAN DVD is no longer sent to customer since 2020.  We will provide a download link of the program file to each customer by email.
